MALDEN, MA – Mystic River Rugby Club is proud to announce that CHA Sports Medicine will serve as the club’s Official Sports Medicine Provider with immediate effect. The club is excited by the long-term benefits of a close relationship with a top-flight Sports Medicine program, especially one that offers such excellent facilities and care. In addition to the establishment of a clear line of communication between the club’s members and the CHA staff, the club will also make use of certified athletic trainers from CHA Sports Medicine at all home matches, which will allow the club to provide all active players with direct access to professional, athletic-oriented medical expertise.

About Mystic River Rugby Club

Mystic River Rugby Club is a Men’s Division I rugby club based out of Pine Banks Park in Malden, MA. The club was founded in 1974 and has a long, proud tradition of rugby excellence with many successes at a national level. The club is also dedicated to the growth and development of rugby as a sport, and runs summer youth rugby programs catering to children and young adults between the ages of six and eighteen.

About CHA Sports Medicine

CHA Sports Medicine is a dedicated Sports Medicine Program within the larger Cambridge Health Alliance health system. The CHA Sports Medicine Program staff includes doctors, physician assistants, physical therapists, and athletic trainers, who work together to treat and rehabilitate all orthopaedic and sports-related injuries. The program has offices at three convenient locations in Malden, Cambridge and Somerville, and offers access to a much broader set of Cambridge Health Alliance services.
