Mystics Honored at Winter Party

BOSTON, MA - The annual Mystic River Winter Party was held at the Lenox Hotel on Saturday, 30 January 2015. As part of proceedings, a number of Mystics were honored for their contributions to the club on and off the field. The Mystics who were honored were as follows: Most Improved Player - Diego Maquieira and Gianni Miceli Bart Brennan Rookie of the Year - Steve Dazzo Bumbling Barbarian - Gianni Miceli and Sean Rafferty Max Schlieffer Supporter Award - Dave Rudzinsky Cliff Whitehead Old Boy Award - Tom Clark D2 Captain - Nick Vettese D1 Captain - Mike Bozza D2 Forwards MVP - Jeff LaFlamme D2 Backs MVP - Nick Fujiwara D1 Forwards MVP - Sean Rafferty D1 Backs MVP - Pono Haitsuka The final award of the night, the Ron Prime Memorial Trophy, which is awarded for major contributions to the club, was awarded to Kareem Afifi. He has been a long-time Mystic, and has served the club in a number of positions over the years, with a particular focus on college outreach over the past few years.
