Winning Streak Ends For Mystics

BOSTON, MA - It was an inevitable outcome. When two undefeated squads take the field, only one can remain undefeated. Unfortunately for the Mystics, it was Boston who took that honor. It was a gruelling back and forth defensive match up between the top two teams in New England. The Mystics were able to shut down Boston's initial attack, but a penalty in range of the posts would give Boston first blood and an early lead. This would also be the only score of the first half. Late into the second half Boston let loose with a kick down field which was recovered for a try that would put the game out of reach for the Mystics. Mystic River finished the season with a 6-1 record and despite the loss, will enter the playoffs as the number one seed in New England.
