2016 was a glorious year for Mystic River Rugby and to cap off the year This Is American Rugby named the Mystics 2016 Men’s Club of the year. Mystic River earned 64% of the fan vote which proved plenty to win the award.

A mixture of both veteran leadership and youthful energy has proven to be a major factor in Mystic River’s achievements. But the club’s longevity and continued success is a testament to the family culture of Mystic River.

“This award is an accomplishment for the entire club. From the players and coaches to the administrators and club supporters. Being named Club of the Year is an honorable recognition from the rugby community that Mystic River Rugby Club is a model to emulate for success,” says Club President Brett Willis.

Mystic River would like to thank both Canterbury Rugby and This Is American Rugby for organizing a fan vote for the award and for recognizing Mystic River as top club of the year. And of course, a special thank you to all former and current Mystics and those who have supported the club throughout the years! We hope this is just the first club of the year award and National Championship year of many!
