Mystics Secure #1 NERFU Seed

PINE BANKS – Mystic River came out of the gate firing on all cylinders with several tries scored in the first few minutes against an Albany side that never laid down. Again the Mystics displayed outstanding defense to hold Albany to only one try scored for 7 points. Final score 60-7 as the Mystics clinched the #1 NERFU seed for the 2007-08 division one playoffs.

Jamie Green, Brett Willis, Molibi Maphanyane and Parnell Adam each touched the ball down twice, while Kyle Winter and Carrick Pell added a try of their own to the Mystic tally. Pat Doherty went 50% from the field, slotting 5 of 10 through the uprights.

Mystic struggle against Albany

ALBANY, NY – On a windy afternoon, the Mystic First XV recorded its fifth straight loss after being blanked by an aggressive Albany side 0-45. The Second XV was able to salvage the day with another win, putting them at 4-2 with one match left in the season.
