Mystic River Rolls Over Worcester

WORCESTER, MA – Mystic River moved to 2-0 in New England’s DI league with a 26-7 victory over Worcester. Carrick Pell scored two tries in the game and Jake Sprague and Peter Waswa added touchdowns as Mystic earned their second-straight bonus-point win.

Equally impressive was the Mystic B’s as they scored early and often, blanking Worcester to earn a second-straight win of their own.

Mystics Open Strong

PINE BANKS – The Mystics came out strong this past Saturday against a playoff bound Worcester side. The tough, scrappy forwards led the charge, man-handling the opposition. This outright dominance in and around the rucks forced our opponents to tighten up their defense and the Mystic backline was given room to showcase their talent scoring multiple tries on the outside for a final tally of 42-14. This was an important game, but the taste of victory has only sparked a deeper hunger in the Blue for another win.

Worcester Proves Too Much For Mystics

WORCESTER, MA – Defense ruled the day on both sides of the ball as Worcester was able to score on two tactical high kicks in the first half. The second half was a defensive stalemate with the score 0-14 at the final whistle. The Second XV again put on a show and blanked Worcester 31-0.
