Mystic Homecoming this Saturday

The Mystics are looking to get all Mystics out on the pitch this weekend as both the D1 and Old Boys sides make their first appearance of the fall. It will be a day full of rugby, with D1, D2 and Old Boy matches scheduled as follows:

11:00am – Old Boys vs Boston Irish Greyhounds
12:00pm – D2 vs Portland
 2:00pm – D1 vs Boston Irish Wolfhounds

We are looking to get a great crowd out to support the Mystics for their fall homecoming this weekend. Let’s get out and enjoy some wonderful fall weather and some even better rugby, as all three matches should be well worth watching.

Squad for 7s Nationals Announced!

The Mystics are proud to announce the squad that will be traveling to Des Moines, IA to represent the team at the USA Rugby 7s National Championships this coming weekend. The squad includes two players with World Sevens Series experience, and almost every player on the squad has been involved in the Northeast Rugby Olympic Development Academy, with a number participating in the ODA’s stellar showing in the Elite and Aces brackets at the Las Vegas Invitational 7s earlier this year. Mystic Gulls to Defend Bean Pot Title Tomorrow

The Mystic U19 Gulls will be travelling down to the Irish Cultural Center in Canton, MA tomorrow morning to defend their Bean Pot title. The U19s will be up against the club’s long-time rivals Boston as well as a North Shore team and two teams from their hosts, the Boston Irish Wolfhounds. The Mystics have won the tournament twice in its three year history, so they are definitely looking to keep their dominance alive with another victory tomorrow.

The Mystic U17 side will also be stepping on to the pitch in blue, and they will be raring to show the U19 guys how rugby ought to be played with flair and passion. Continue reading
