Mystic Barbarians Clinch Sweet 16 Berth

AMESBURY, MA – The Mystics came out all guns blazing in the D2 NERFU Championship against Newport on Sunday morning, but had to dig deep in the second half to claim a hard-fought 20-17 victory and extend their unbeaten record out to 11-0-1. After their grueling Sunday, the Mystics deserve some time off, but will need to be back at work come Saturday, as they head to Albany, NY to take on the Village Lions of New York in the D2 National Round of 16. Mystic Barbarians March On!

AMESBURY, MA – The Mystic Barbarians demolished Portland by a score of 59-24 in their D2 playoff match this morning, and secured their place in the NERFU D2 Championship match. The team will be facing Newport at 10:30am tomorrow, Sunday May 1 at New England Sports Park, Amesbury, MA to see who claims the NERFU D2 Championship title.

The match should be an absolute cracker, as the two teams fought to a 33-33 draw in the fall, but the Mystics will be looking to extend their unbeaten 10-0-1 season all the way to the national championships.

Let’s get out and make sure the Barbarians have huge home support tomorrow in this must-win match!

Mystics claim two big victories

AMESBURY, MA – Despite Pine Banks being closed due to resurfacing, the Mystic D1 and D2 sides put on huge performances in their games this past Saturday as they solidified their positions in the playoffs. The Mystic Barbarians couldn’t have ended their undefeated season on a more emphatic note with their victory over Burlington, while the D1 side clinched their berth in the Elite 8 with their defeat of Old Blue.
